As world leaders clamour together at UN summits and high-level panels, who among them are truly creating change for the people? In these challenging times, Grassroot Diplomat is seeking to exemplify the most exceptional political and diplomatic change makers of our time.
The Grassroot Diplomat Initiative Award recognises the achievements of outstanding diplomats and politicians who are representing civilian interests at the highest level. All winners are individuals or institutions who have shown astute leadership in the domain of policy change, social awareness, and business development.
Benefits of being nominations
Since the launch in 2013, GDI awards have recognised 24 diplomats including both winners and honourees. A full gallery can be viewed here.
The award provides individuals and government institutions with a public accolade that acknowledges their assistance to civil society causes and organisations. The profiles of all shortlisted nominees are featured on the Grassroot Diplomat website plus our upcoming ‘Grassroot Diplomat Quarterly’ glossy magazine, benefiting from both national and international press. All past winners are featured on our website.
The GDI awards offer a great networking venue for participants to expand their links and leverage with other politicians and diplomats from other parts of the world
