Moldovan Ambassador Nominated for Grassroot Diplomat Awards
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ambassador Iulian Fruntasu of the Embassy of Moldova has been nominated for the first ever Grassroot Diplomat Initiative Awards. The award looks to recognise outstanding diplomats and politicians in the UK for their dedication, commitment and selfless efforts in representing civilian matters at the highest level.
Nominated under the Business Driver category, Dr Fruntasu has been active in promoting UK businesses with links to Moldova. As a post-Soviet country, Moldova has far to go in fully developing relations with the UK, but the Ambassador is working hard to expanding local social enterprises and bridging links to Moldova and its Diaspora in Britain by visiting companies such as Kerfoot Group for relevant opportunities.
Talyn Rahman-Figueroa, Director of Grassroot Diplomat said, “Grassroot diplomacy empowers the voiceless, defines a path for the hopeless, and restores faith to influencers. The Initiative Award seeks to build trust again between the ‘us and them’ and bring people of all statuses together.”
Ambassador Fruntasu is committed to developing business links between Moldova and the UK, and for this, his efforts are being recognised here.
Over 50 high-level government officials have been nominated in 3 categories but there can only be six winners. Join Ambassador Iulian Fruntasu and other government nominees at the Vincent Rooms, Westminster with evening performance led by Euro-Vision Song Contest artist, Imaani.
