Grassroot Diplomat is a diplomatic consultancy with the mission to make diplomacy effective for a modern world. It is our aim to refocus policy back to the people’s interest by creating a culture of good governance, harnessing positive role models in society and providing people with tools to communicate effectively.
We are looking for several Researchers to take lead on seeking nominations of worthy politicians and diplomats for the upcoming Grassroot Diplomat Initiative Award. Researchers will examine profiles of individuals and examine work of a vast list of diplomats and politicians who fit the awards guideline and consider them for nomination. The role requires excellent IT and research skills with a flair for using social media websites. You may also get the opportunity to participate at the Annual Awards which will take place in London in June 2017.
The role is very independent with an opportunity to really grow your knowledge on the work of government officials. You will be expected to have the following:
- Be a due-paying member of Grassroot Diplomat (min. Basic Level)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent research and IT skills
- Own laptop and telephone to work from
This opportunity is remote but you will be required to keep in touch with your mentor every week and meet weekly targets. Some expenses may be covered to help you attend meetings and you will be supported by mentors to help you with any coaching throughout your time with us.
We require a voluntary to commit up to 10 hours per week to help organise this event. Your hours are flexible according to your schedule.
