Felix Finkbeiner: Eco Super Hero

The survival of us children and young people should be worth it.
— Felix Finkbeiner

As a child, Felix Finkbeiner was inspired by Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai to plant one million trees in his native Germany. Today, his organisation, Plant for the Planet, has met its initial pledge and now runs in 131 countries.

Plant for the Planet has called upon the G7 Heads of Government to support the greatest afforestation project in the history of humankind. Felix believes children should take action over the current solution of inaction.

“The survival of 3 billion children and young people should be worth more than the amount spent on saving a few banks,” said Felix.

More than 30,000 children between the ages of 9-12 are Ambassadors for Climate Justice, who will continue to pass on their knowledge and train other children to join the global movement.
